Why did Ezra have the 'BEST DAY EVER'?

‘This is the best day ever at Rivers’ Ezra shared on arriving into the hall to receive his iPad for Learning from WAT.  All Y4 children at Rivers Primary Academy today received a personal iPad to support them to power up their learning across all curriculum subjects.  Pupils are also able to take home their device to support their home learning and pursue further their own interests and passions.  There was a real party atmosphere as children danced into the hall to Celebration by Kool and The Gang amidst confetti from cannons falling from the ceiling.

As the children eagerly left school for home carefully clasping their iPads a parent with an older sibling who is part of the trust’s approach shared how thrilled she was that this would now ‘benefit her younger child who would be able to also easily access websites and platforms such as Century Tech and Google Classroom to support their learning’.

The impact on my ability to quickly check individual pupil’s understanding and then deepen challenge and stretch or provide additional scaffold and support through the use of our trust’s AfL App, google quizzing and programmes such as whiteboard.fi really helps me ensure that my pupils are really making the best progress they can.
