How to Apply

Admissions

At Rivers Primary Academy we have a Nursery class with 60 places and a Reception class with 60 places. Children can start in our Nursery the term after their 3rd birthday. 

Reception

Children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 are due to start reception in September 2025.

Having a place in the nursery class attached to a school does not guarantee a place in the reception class at that school. You must send a separate application for a place in the reception class.

EYFS and Primary School admissions to Rivers Primary Academy are handled by Walsall Council.

You will be contacted directly by the council to apply for a place in reception and can apply online by clicking here or by completing a paper application form.

Walsall Council will then contact you in April to inform you which school your child has been allocated to.

In-year Admissions

Sometimes your child may need to start or change school at a different time of the year. You will find helpful information on what to do if your child needs to move schools during the school year on the Walsall Council website who handle our mid-year admissions.

Secondary Admissions

When your child moves into Year 6 you will need to apply for a secondary school. Online applications can be made from September.
