We provide lots of extracurricular activities to expand children's learning beyond the classroom and to allow them to develop new skills and confidence.
Lunchtime and after school clubs are offered throughout the year in activities such as recorders, multi-skills, choir, film, textiles and football.
We aim to provide as many opportunities as possible for children to represent our school in sporting events with other schools. We do this in a range of sports which, in the 2019-2020 academic year, included 20 different events in football, netball, indoor athletics, table tennis, badminton, dodgeball, hockey and tag games. To provide opportunities to children of all abilities, we have A, B and C teams.
Children are selected for competitions based on the following:
Special opportunities are also offered to inspire children to be the best they can be and ignite a passion for sport. Special opportunities are organised to watch live sporting events and take part in sport at high profile venues. Recent examples include Year 5 students watching the All England International Badminton Competition at the Barclaycard Arena which featured the very best badminton players in the world.
