Curriculum and Learning

Our curriculum provides engaging and inspiring learning for our children. It helps them develop essential skills that support their mental and physical development.

Children learn and develop their skills in a fun and interactive way through games and play in our inspiring classrooms and large outdoor space. Our friendly and supportive team leads learning following the Early Years Foundation Stage - the national standard for learning for children aged up to five years old.

Our learning focuses on:

  • communication and language
  • physical development
  • personal, social and emotional development
  • literacy
  • mathematics
  • understanding the world
  • expressive arts and design.

Our learning helps children become confident learners prepared for their next step into primary school. With our nursery being part of the school, children have lots of opportunities to learn about the reception, which helps with their transition into school life.

Information on how what children learn during the year is shown below.
