Reception Admissions for September 2026

The normal admission round for entry to [Reception/Year 7] in September 2025 has now closed.  For late applications, parents should contact their home local authority

In-Year Admissions

Parents can apply for a place for their child at any time outside the normal admissions round. As is the case in the normal admissions round, all children whose Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) plans name the school will be admitted. Likewise, if there are spaces available in the year group you are applying for, your child will be offered a place.

If there are no spaces available at the time of your application, your child’s name will be added to a waiting list for the relevant year group. When a space becomes available, it will be filled by one of the pupils on the waiting list in accordance with the oversubscription criteria. Priority will not be given to children on the basis that they have been on the waiting list the longest.

• Decision email to parents: 16th April 2026 by 2pm

• Decision letter to parents: 16th April

Reception Admission Appeals for September 2026 entry

If your child has been refused a place in our school, you have the right to appeal against this decision.  Appeals are coordinated by Walsall Council, further information can be found on their website below:

Appeals timetable for admission to our school for the 2026/27 academic year:

• Deadline for lodging appeals: 18th May 2026

• Dates when appeals will be heard: 

  Appeals will be heard between 9 June and 20 July 2026.

• Date appeals made after the deadline will be heard: heard within 30 school days of submission
